FORECAST SYNOPSIS...

High pressure over the Maritimes will bring low clouds and light showers to Southeast New England through at least midday. Expect dry and seasonable conditions to continue through mid week as high pressure shifts slowly offshore. A cold front may bring showers into central and western areas Wednesday night and Thursday. However, this will be dependent upon the track of a potential tropical system that may pass well southeast of Nantucket around mid to late week, which could produce high surf and dangerous rip currents along the immediate shoreline.
